The 2002 Building of the Year, as honored by the Tri-Cities Branch of the General Contractors of Tennessee, is a 55,000 sf building which rises naturally out the Tennessee hills near Bristol, TN. The new headquarters for the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) required the latest technologies available. In addition to being their home offices, the building was also equipped with sound and video studios and satellite connections for live and taped professional broadcasts for training videos and spiritual renewal productions. This headquarters also had to function as a warehouse for the distribution of their education and inspirational literature.
The building features a 350 seat multi-use assembly space with magnificent views of the adjacent mountains. All conference rooms within the office wings are cantilevered with floor-to-ceiling arced windows to take advantage of these same views. Numerous offices and support rooms round out the program for this striking facility.
