“Since 2011, we have grown by more than 200 employees at our corporate headquarters. it has become necessary that we expand our corporate offices to meet our increased employee base and growing business. When completed, we will have an exceptional campus that will meet the needs of our business for years to come.”
Marathon Petroleum Corporation is expanding in Downtown Findlay. The oil company wants to build two new office buildings and two parking decks at its South Main Street Campus. They are also exploring the option of working with a third-party developer to build a hotel or other mixed use facility on the corporate campus. RCM Architects is proud to work with its neighbor, providing design services for the two parking garages, and construction administration services for the rest of the development.
The two parking garages will provide spaces for approximately 2,000 employees and guests of Marathon. The North Garage located at the corner of Sandusky Street and East Street, is the smaller of the two garages, and will house 800 spaces. An elevated connector links this garage to the existing Marketing Building on campus. Construction of this garage began in the Fall of 2014 and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2015.
The South Garage is located on the south side of their existing campus, and will house 1,200 cars. Construction began on this garage in the spring of 2015, and is scheduled for completion in 2016. This garage will be directly adjacent to Marathon's new 120,000 sf office building, and will feature an elevated connector, providing direct access to that building.
